Resizing PDF pages is essential when you need to change a document to fit a different paper size for printing, submission requirements, or standardization. For example, you may receive a document in US Letter format (8.5 x 11 inches) that needs to be printed on A4 paper (210 x 297 mm), or you may need to scale down an A3 poster to A4 for distribution.

Our PDF page resizer uses pdf-lib to change the page dimensions while automatically scaling all content to fit the new size. This includes text, images, vector graphics, and all other page elements. The scaling is proportional, so your document layout is preserved even when changing between significantly different page sizes.

Unlike many online tools that re-render your PDF (potentially losing fonts or vector quality), our approach modifies the PDF structure directly. This preserves the original content fidelity while changing only the page dimensions and content scale factors. The content is scaled proportionally to fit the new dimensions. Text remains as vector text (not rasterized), so it stays sharp at any zoom level. Images maintain their original resolution. The visual appearance may change slightly due to the different aspect ratio.

What is the difference between portrait and landscape?expand_more
